Blue tongue lizzard!

Milla and Gregg found this blue tongue lizzard out front. It is easy to see where it got it's name from!

The gentle-natured, snail loving (and dog food stealing) blue-tongued lizards are welcome pest controllers in Australian gardens, as they are not poisonous or dangerous to humans and pets. Gosh, finally ONE species in Australia that is not lethal!!! :-)

  1. I'm not so sure ;-)
We had one stealing our eggs and my 4 yo daughter (also called Elliott) thought he was smiling at her and picked him up. After a short cuddle he bit her on the finger.... She still loves her lizards and just after it happened she ran through the garden yelling "A lizard bit me, IT HAS LEGS!!!" just so I would know it wasn't a snake.
