Annual Ballet Concert

The girls all attend classical ballet lessons at Tenison College Of Dance, and their annual Ballet concert was held at the Hopgood Theatre. This year's performance was called 'A Wonderland Of Dance' and consisted of three ballets showcasing Alice in Wonderland, colourful costumes and beautiful dancing!

Milla has advanced and is in a class above Agnes and Elliot. For this show Milla's group were flowers and Agnes and Elliot's group were bees. Here is Milla top right. What a gorgeous flower she was!

And here are the bees: Agnes and Elliot! We are all backstage just before the show is about to start. Gregg and I said good-bye and headed in to see the show.

After the performance, Gregg brought flowers to our little ballerinas at the backstage door.

Wow! Time flies. Three years of ballet already!

  1. I love your little ballerinas. They are just so cute :) Ava really misses going to ballet with Milla. I've found a ballet school here that has classes at a time we can squeeze in but I'm worried it will be too much on top of Ava's already hectic schedule: school, ice skating once a week, cheerleading once a week and swimming twice a week.

  2. Wow, that sounds hectic! We had a pretty hectic last year, when the girls were attending different days at Tenison; Milla Mondays and twins on Thursdays. Plus swimming, karate and after-school sports. This year we have cut back a little. No more after-school sports for Milla (at least first semester), and they will all have ballet on Mondays this year (which helps, although different classes and double time waiting...). Karate right next to where we live on Tues, so that is the easy one. and then there is swimming on Saturdays. Oh, and I forgot about riding school! They started in the school holidays for summer school, and they love it and want to continue, but I can't affort more than one day-schoool session a month. It's up in Hahndorf = delicious sausage and sauerkraut dinner after...mmmmm! It is hectic though... G wants us to quit ballet, but I really want them to keep going. They really like it, and they are getting quite good, so it would be a shame to stop right now. We'll see...
