In Baatsfjord we visited my good friend HK, and her family. We go all the way back to childhood me and HK. She comes from a big family, and I always loved spending time at her house. Her mum made the best oatmeal porridge, nutella sandwiches and chocolate milks! And she's got heaps of brothers. Her; missing a sister, and me; having no siblings - we decided to 'adopt' each other, and it has been like that ever since we were little: she's my big sis, and I'm her lil' sis.
Now we both have got girls of our own, more or less the same age. How lucky are we?! The girls got on like a house on fire, and playing on the trampoline, my girls learned about 'spiker i rompa' - translated to 'nail in the bum'!
Jumping on the trampoline they call out: 'en, to, tre, spiker i rompa: ned!' -
'one, two, three, nail in the bum: down!'. Then they bounce down, sitting down, and back up again, to standing on their feet. And if one person cannot stand back up again in one bounce, then that means that they were caught by the 'nail in the bum'...lols!
Now, they have taught 'spiker i rompa' to their Australian friends here in Adelaide. Hilarious! They call it out in Norwegian, and so do their friends! Last week I had one of the mums ask me about what 'spiker i rompa' means...haha, needless to say she got a good laugh. Spiker i rompa is going
global :-)
Here, the girls are having nutella sandwiches for supper, just like HK and I used to have!
Homemade Pavlova on the balcony...mmmmmm! HK's 'little' brother, that we used to wheel around in his stroller also came by to say hello!
All of us together, enjoying the evening (daylight even at night!), kids staying up late - so nice to spend some days together!
Miss you heaps!
