A tradition since moving to Australia has been to celebrate NYE on the beach...picnic, champers and fireworks in the sunset... it is my absolute favourite way to welcome the new year: Happy 2016 everyone!
The last picture is from the Sydney fireworks. Once, before we move from Australia, I want to go and see it! Yup, on the bucket list!

ReplyDeleteOh, and those NYE fireworks in Sydney? AMAZING! I'm sure you've probably seen my pics at some point, but we used to live directly opposite the Opera House and had amazing views over the harbour. Best place ever for a NYE party! The fireworks coming off the bridge are always spectacular - and you'd be surprised at just how often there are fireworks in Sydney. I had no idea there were fireworks so often until we moved into that apartment. There was probably some sort of fireworks display happening every 2 weeks or so over Summer - although never as big as NYE, of course :)
Yes, that NYE show is know all around the world! I was just exploring hotel rooms with a view - and they are completely booked out already!! Got any tips for what areas have a view, to look for rentals? I am clueless when it comes for suburb names in Sydney...
