Halloweeeeeeeeeen!

Happy Halloween! Without much money or time to make costumes, we decided to pop by Ikea for a treasure hunt and some face paint - which was all free! The girls had a think and each exclaimed their wishes to the face-painter; a rainbow bat, a black cat with fangs and a toxic spider (!).

Very niiiiiiiiiice! Afterwards we popped by Sushi for a quick dinner. Happy Friday!

Gone Girl

Watched Gone Girl at Gold Class Cinema for my birthday. Aaaaahhhhh, bliss! Wine, recliners and a good movie - just perfect!

Birthday-morning!

Instead of one birthday cake, we had many little ones....mmmmmmmm, my favourite cake ever: lemon polenta cake, brownies, melting moments and macarons!

Happy morning!

Fireball, Warratah & King Protea

I got some lovely birthday flowers from Gregg and and the girls - and even a week later they are still blooming! Australian native plants are so spectacularly beautiful, don't you think?

Dear Santa...

...look what I found - three little letters just for you!

I found them tucked away and rolled up - definitely not for my eyes. But how could I resist the temptation...I just had to open them to see what they had written to Santa. Agnes' letter contains lots of wishes - and she has clearly labelled her letter with her name so there will be no confusion :-)

I was laughing so much when reading Elliot's letter - look how polite she is! There is a please after each and every wish!! And just for good measure she has added an 'I love you Santa' (even though in reality she is t-e-r-r-i-f-i-e-d of him!).

The last letter was from Milla and she had really put some effort into her letter; colour, drawings....and modesty! I love how, even though her list of wishes is quite extensive, she does state at the end that she is not expecting all of those things....just two things would also be ok. Aaaaawwwww, cuteness!

Now, I think I have to go shopping, haha!

Some storm!!!

Last night we had a freak storm roll in from the ocean! We were treated to a spectacular thunderstorm overnight, receiving about 80,000 lighting strikes in 24 hours.
After a night with no sleep, we now have got power again, yay! But wow, it was rough - have a look at some pictures by people around the neighbourhood!
