The playful 'roo

We had an evening bike ride in Bel-Air National Park when Milla said:
'look, mamma, look....I can see something over there!'
She was right. It was a kangaroo!

We headed for the playground - last play of the day, side by side with the following kangaroo.

Karate-chop!

...we even managed to squeeze in one final karate class before the holidays!

Fighting stance! ...jab, reverse, outside block, ninja crawl....chop chop!!!

Big, pink marshmallow ears!

Two of the mums in Milla's class brought homemade cupcakes for the kids to decorate in the last class before Easter! Milla's looked like a rabbit with two, big, pink marshmallow ears! And they all got to wrap them up and bring their Easter activity home to show us.

This picture is from Milla's class blog, and miss Milla is in the middle with her bunny-cupcake.
God Paaske alle sammen!

Fortune Cookies

Before Easter really sets in, we have so much to do!! Painting, renovating, extra work preparation and starting to prepare for the next birthday parties... So much to do, so little time... Gregg's birthday is coming up, and Agnes and Elliot's party is the week after...ooooooh, how exciting! We are going to Meningie for an Easter get-away for a couple of days too. And most of all, we are looking forward to visitors from Darwin. Sshhhh, it is a surprise. Gregg does not know yet, but when I set up the guest bedroom, I am sure he will find out.

So, with all this on the programme, we headed for Chinese TakeAway for dinner. Yay, fortune cookies!!

Easter holiday next!

Today was last day of school before Easter holiday kicked off! Yay!
Agnes and Elliot had another school visit in their class, and Milla got to bring her Easter treats to share with her class mates. Yay!

Milla and her friend Sarah

Happy Easter!

Easter treats....mmmm

Milla have made Easter treats to bring to class and they turned out so cute!

First we bought some milk chocolate mini eggs.

Then we bought little glassine bags and neon pink love heart-stickers to seal the bags.

We had an old stamp and we put in letters that said:
Happy Easter
Love Milla

So, we put it all together... First we stamped the message on each bag. Then we put the Easter eggs into the little bags and closed them with the neon loveheart-stickers....
and voila! This is how they turned out! Pretty cute if  you ask me!!

Happy Easter everyone!

Milla's Camp Photos

Here are some photos from Milla's camp.
Some she took herself, and some we have borrowed from her teacher :-)

Mums and Dads saying goodbye! Hmmmm....I look like I'm missing her already.

I asked her what her favourite part of camp was - and she said 'the playground'!

Weekly review

Milla's weekly review in wk6:

First: they had to listen to each other for the team work, but they didn't listen to the teacher (!).

Second: they learnt lots of new stuff in mathematics.

Third: they picked up litter in the park with their buddy class, and she says 'we did our best'.

Last: this is all the children on stage, and what she said in the  microphone at the assembly: 'we would like to invite all parents and friends to stay for morning tea'.

You did very well, Milla!

Lillies!

My favourite flowers! In full bloom. Lucky me!

Elliot's underwater world

Mermaids, snappy crabs, sunshine fishes and Yoda the octopus.... a fantasy underwater world!

Gyllna Skor!

A few weekends ago we went out to celebrate MrC's mate. I got to wear my new shiny shoes - ...swoon! I love them!

Happy b'day, Brett! Lovely food and lovely company!!

Gold Class, baby!

Gold Class - the ultimate first class luxury cinema experience! Sitting back and relaxing in the custom-made luxury reclining arm chairs to watch the latest blockbuster... Experiencing wine and gourmet food with superior waiter service.... Aaaaahhhhh! Love Gold Class cinema!

We went to see The Silver Lining Playbook, and Chocolate & Churros, Lindt hot chocolate and coffee and Baileys aside - the movie was really worth watching!
