Netball girls!

Netball is the girls' sport of Australia. The littles have been asking to play since last year, but only now are they old enough to join the league. Netball is similar to basketball, although the rules, equipment and team numbers are slightly different; no dribbling, no running with the ball, ball must be passed within 3 seconds; ball and basket is smaller and there is no backboard for the hoop. Saturday morning we had our first match!!! Well, matches...as Milla is in one team and Agnes and Elliot in another. The matches are held at various primary school courts around our area, and this first morning Gregg took M to her match, and I went with A&E.

Thank you Besta for the rain jackets! We needed them today - and yay, they are in our team colour (red/navy)!!

Yay!! A&E's team won 2-0 over Belair! Hurrah! Over at Milla's match it was tough and ended with a loss for the first match. A bit low at first, but we can only do better next week:
