Fighting Tempura!

Wednesday was MrC's real birthday, and for his birthday dinner he wished for his all time favourite food: fried chicken from a Korean place up here in the Hills called Fighting Tempura! 
He's on the first-name basis with the chef and owner of the place, Uno - an indicator of how often he frequents the joint! The flavours are ginger, soy, garlic and chilli and it is the best chicken in the world, according to the birthday boy! That day we had a brief little visit from MrC's mum as well. She got to try the fabulous chicken and have a little glimpse into how our everyday family life is.








I made Nigella's luscious chocolate cake, decorated with peanutbutter cups for birthday cake! Mmmmmm....
