New jeans!

The girls got to pick their new jeans; purple for Agnes and pink for Elliot and Milla!

Looking for things to wear in the wardrobe - the funny thing is, even when they get to choose their own outfits, they still like to wear the same.

Possum Poop!

We see the possums in the trees at night. Sometimes we sit on the balcony and shine our flash lights up to see them hang from their tails. This morning we had possum poop on our car window!

Hmmmm....maybe they don't like us lighting up their night?!

Agnes and Elliot's first day of school!

Today was Agnes and Elliot's first day of school! They were so excited, but then Agnes woke up in the middle of the night complaining of stomach ache. And this morning she said it was worse...
-mamma, I think you have to stay home with me today...she said. I think she was just a bit nervous before the big day:) We had a long chat on the edge of the bed, and by the time breakfast was ready, she was feeling much better. Milla had given her her old and scratched school shoes, and Agnes was very happy about that - that made her feel ready to be a school girl, with real school shoes!

So now we have got THREE school girls in our house! Look how cute they are.

We are blessed! And very proud of you Milla, Agnes and Elliot!

Squirrel-fun!

Kate came over for a playdate yesterday! Yay! Little squirrels having fun!

Before they arrived I reminded Agnes and Elliot to say thank you for their birthday presents. I asked them
-Do you remember which presents you got from Kate?
- Elliot: Yeah, we got diahorreas! (diaries, they got books, haha)

Morgenkaape!

Look what Agnes found at Target - a Yoda robe!!!

She has now started a savings project, where she works around the house and saves the dollars she earns in a cup up high in the kitchen. Current savings: $3.75. The robe was $30, so we've got a long way to go. But she is working hard! This morning she carried wood from the woodshed and up into the living room.

Letters for Besta

Lots of letters with drawings sent to Besta from Elliot.

Bonfire & Marshmallows

Saturday night we spent over at the McKnock's. Climbing trees and roasting marshmallows on the bonfire.

Agnes and Matty
Not happy when I told her to not go too high and come on down!
Hello Matty
...on the way down

R2D2 goes to school

Shoeshopping

We were really looking for wintershoes for the girls....and ended up trying on high heels instead....

Triggerpoint!

How lucky am I - I have a friend who is a massage therapist!

I got a triggerpoint massage from Hels.......aaaaaaaahhhhhhh!

Polly goes swimming (in the sink)

The girls got little Polly dolls for their birthday and they love them. Today they went swimming - swimsuits and all - in the sink. Woohoooo!

Colourful beads!

It is so nice to get a visit by miss Milla at the office!

And she's wearing my necklace as a crown. I got this colourful necklace from MrCs mum when she visited from Darwin. I can't wait to go shopping in Darwin - just like the jumpsuit she sent me for Christmas - a favourite! I bet I could find lots of stuff to shop in Darwin!!

Another level up!

This just shows how good little swimmers the girls have become - they have now moved up another level at swimming, and even Agnes and Elliot are swimming in the BIG lap pool  now!

Wow! Ice creams to celebrate! Yay!

The owl project

Ever since they were little, we have made science projects of thing we want to know more about. There have been projects of fruit-bats, possums, spiders and lots more. Today I found our Owl project in one of our (many) moving boxes.

Since then, the girls have now got a science journal where they can glue in what they find and write about it themselves. And they are really enjoying searching for new stuff in our garden!

Leo the Literacy Lion

At school they have literacy kits - a little something extra fun for the kids who are learning to read and write. This time it was Leo the Literacy Lion who came home with Milla. Leo's pack contained draw cards with task to complete. The task was to read a book, and every word starting with the letter R she had to write down. She also had to make a drawing of the story she read. The story she chose was Aliens Love Underpants.

Here's Leo!
Lovely work, Milla! She drew Leo the lion and lots of Aliens flying around.

She found four words beginning with R: Radar, red, races and really. Every time she found an R word, we clapped once and wrote it down. It made it really fun to read the story!
Great work, Milla!

Frokosten e klar!

It's great to have a veggie patch - fresh cucumber for our sandwiches. Elliot's favourite is 'broedskiva med leverpostei, majones, gastromat og agurk'....mmmmmm!

Breakfast is ready!

Chocolate girls!

Ice chocolates and ice tea on a hot day - yes, please!

Grandma in the air!

We've had a visit from Grandma. It has been lovely to see her again! We wish we could see her more often. We took her to the airport for her night flight back to Darwin and the girls - little travellers as they are - helped her with her check in and and her luggage.

It's hard to say goodbye!
Gotta love a carry-on!
Elliot helping Gramdma check in (Michael is helping too in the ear:)
Found our gate...
...off to wave goodbye...
Hugs and donuts!!!
See you soon, Grandma!

We heart Birthdaywishes

Agnes and Elliot got heaps of birthday wishes and beautiful presents for their birthday this year. Thank you all so much for coming to their party and making their day so special! We are lucky to have friends like you!! We had so much fun and just want to say thank you heaps for all the amazing wishes and pressies. And to all our friends and family in Norway: thank you so much for keeping our girls in your thoughts and taking time out to send them such lovely cards and presents! To the family in Darwin: thank you for coming to visit us. And to the family in Meningie: your words and cuddles mean a lot to Milla, Agnes and Elliot (they talk about the yabbies and GGs cuddles very often).
