Book Week @ School!

 Gurimalla som vi har kost oss denne uka med 'book week' på skolen. Vi har lånt bøker på biblioteket og kledd oss ut som en karakter i en av bokene vi har lest.

Elliot var ‘Splat the Cat’.

Milla var ‘Thea Stilton’, the detective mouse.

Og Agnes var ‘Geronimo Stilton’. De er begge to små detektiver som løser mysterier!

Min jobb var å snekre sammenn hjemmelagede kostymer og jentene hjalp meg så godt de kunne. Kjempemoro!

A First!

This morning after netball, Milla and I had a girls day out - at the hairdresser. This was the very first time ever at the hairdresser for ms Milla!! 

Ok, we're here. A little bit nervous...

....aaaaaahhhhh, this is quite nice, nothing to be nervous about :-)

All done! Cut, straightened and styled! Beautiful Milla!

Houseguest

Titt-tei! This little fella' tickled my little toe under the table this morning!

Gastro in da house!

Eeeeeeeeeek - we have got gastro in the house :-(

Sigh...sigh...and double-triple sigh!!! We really do not have time to struggle with this right now!

Gastro is my true Nemesis. Give me seven days of cold or flu over 24 hours of gastro! We all dread the emails alerting us to a new gastro outbreak at school - and it is here! Reports have been trickling in slowly but surely that it is doing its rounds! Now on the to do list for us over the next couple of days...follow the buckets, tissues, disinfectant, stained sheets and duvets and the sleep deprivation. Not content to stop at one, this miserable virus then usually makes its way through the family, claiming all, one by one… 

At least Samba is bringing in the paper for us to read while we wait it out!

Measurements!

Homework yesterday was all about measurements and we measured lots of stuff....and the girls! Holy cow - this is how tall they are now:
Milla 136cm

Agnes 132 cm

Elliot 133 cm

Den beste naboen i verden!

Tenk for en snill nabo vi har. Her sent en kveld banka det på døra… ‘hei, jeg har kjøpt kino billetter til dere. Dere fortjener en liten kinokveld, dere jobber så mye og har så fine, snille jenter som alltid får oss til å smile – vi hadde så lyst til å gi dere en pause i hverdagen…’

5 kinobilletter fikk vi, og siden Gregg jobber hver eneste kveld, fikk Milla lov til å invitere med seg en venninne. 

Tenk at vi har slike fine mennesker til nærmeste nabo! Verden er god.

I dag var det Agnes sin tur - enda en tann borte!!!

Hattrick by Milla!

This morning at Netball, Milla saved the day. It was even-steven all the way through the first two quarters, and then....Milla shot three goals straight!!! Hattrick and a win for us this week!

Back at home it was lunch and interview time :-)

Clogged pipes :-(

With so many trees around us our old, ceramic pipes often clogs up from tree-roots. G's got the hang of the un-clogging process by now... just about every six months our drains are completely blocked and we have to open them up. All fixed for now :-)
