Yay - we got a visit from the mailman today! More birthday presents for Agnes and Elliot....but even more important: l-e-v-e-r-p-o-s-t-e-i (Elliot's favourite from Norway) and p-i-n-k winter boots!! Oh joy!

And there was so much more as well....Mr C is stoked as his favourite  was in there too! Tusen takk for paaskegodter og overraskelser, mamma! We love it!

What a gorgeous day - lunch at McLaren Vale winery with Danka & David and their beautiful girls.

David snapped this great picture. Agnes is admiring it and says: 'this looks like in the olden days'.

We went pear picking - and no day at the wineries complete without a nice glass of Moscato and strawberry gelato!

Bursdags-post!

Hurraaaaaa, vi har faatt bursdags-post!!!

Agnes og Elliot er HELT imponerte over de fine kortene og blomsterkransene som kom i fra Hurdal. Vi gjetter at det er Marte som har tegna dem...Agnes lo godt da hun sa 'surely it is not bestefar Torfinn, hahaha' :-) Vi har ikke aapna enda, vi venter til den store dagen!

Lebanese Cucumbers

Milla is picking weeds in her veggie patch today - she is growing cucumbers and blueberries at the moment.

This is how I feel right now... blah, I have got the worst cold and just feel like staying under the covers :-(

Thankful!

In this semester I am running a teaching team of 28 to care for an exciting topic consisting of simulation, laboratories, lectures and tutorials - a challenge, but we are also having so much fun. This is the first time I have written curriculum from 'scratch', the first time I have created an entirely new topic - lots of blood, sweat and tears, but results are trickling in....and great ones! My team left this in my pigeon hole yesterday at work.....aaaaawwwwww! I am very thankful! And now my office smells great!

Ikea Sunday

Today we drove to Ikea to look for wardrobes - we found two great ones - more house renos coming up, yay!

The Magnificent Milla

Here is from Milla's class blog - she was the VIP the last week. Each child has a VIP week where they are celebrated by all their classmates giving them the opportunity to shine as the VIP of the week. They choose a photo of themselves to hang up on the VIP wall, make a book report of their favourite book, and brought in 5 items that describe who they are.

She brought in her blue belt from karate, her swimming goggles, a seashell from Bali, her Luhkka and a reindeer skin to sit on to tell everyone about Sápmi. And here is her Magnificent Milla picture with the class:
